This dross skimmer assembly is made from stainless steel. Recent studies indicate that, over time, some Pb-Free solder alloys may have the capacity to dissolve stainless steel. Therefore if you choose to utilize the dross skimmer assembly in your RoHS compliant environment, we strongly recommend the periodic evaluation of this assembly for material loss and your solder alloy for possible contamination
